Acquisitions and Dispositions
TIR partners have acquired almost 2 million acres of timberland over the past 20 years consisting of more than 140 individual transactions. These acquisitions were made in all major timber regions of the U.S., including the South, Pacific Northwest, Northeast, and Lake States. In addition, our partners have sold over $700 million of timberland across these regions.

Timberland Management
TIR partners have on average almost 20 years’ experience in leading research and implementation of advanced  timber management disciplines. These include:

Research
TIR's research strength includes Partners with Ph.D.'s who have an average of almost 20 years’ experience in all aspects of forest economics and biometrics. Our researchers have written numerous articles for academic and industry journals on a range of topics covering forest finance, economics, and management. In addition to U.S. forestry, our staff has global forestry experience in the major commercial timber regions of South America, New Zealand, and Australia. Our diverse research experience is applied collectively to our clients’ timberland investments at every stage of these portfolio development and management process.
