OVERVIEW

The introduction of intensive management of tree plantations in recent years has brought about an historic transformation in the commercial production of timber—especially in the U.S. South— and has resulted in appreciable increases in biological growth and volume yields. Building on these dramatic scientific advances in silviculture, TIR’s forest management practices rely on its experienced professionals to integrate the biology of growing forests with financial management to achieve the highest economic return for its clients. Importantly, we do so while managing the forest with a dedication to stewardship of the land, water, and wildlife resources that have been entrusted to us.
